Trampolines Review

If there's one universal truth out there I believe it's that trampolines are fun. Whether you are bouncing on a mini trampoline for exercise, a medium-sized 12ft trampoline or a king trampoline, jumping is fun for all ages.

When I was a kid, having a trampoline at home was just unheard of. If you wanted to bounce around you had to find a gym that had a large rectangular trampoline available. These were not so much for recreation as they were for serious gymnastic training.

Trampoline Sizes

Now having one in your own backyard is as common as having a swing set or a slide. This is due, in no small part, to the many different sizes available. If space is an issue, or for smaller children, consider a mini version or a compact 8ft trampoline or 10ft trampoline. For larger yards, older children or adults, why not get the bigger 14ft trampoline or even a 15ft trampoline.

And don’t forget the trampoline safety enclosure. This is very important but should never replace adult supervision when children are bouncing.

If space is an issue, you can get a folding trampoline which can be easily stored during the winter. Even backyards that have pools and no space for the traditional land model can enjoy some wet bouncy fun with a water trampoline.

Trampoline Purchase

Many retailers now sell trampolines for home use. Be sure what you are purchasing is a quality product and not a cheap trampoline. And if possible, try to find a retailer that also sells trampoline parts just in case you need to replace your trampoline pad or trampoline spring.

If you would like to save some money you can also look to purchase a used model. A simple internet search for “trampolines for sale” plus your geographic location should bring up a few to choose from.

Trampoline Safety (AGAIN)

Whether you purchase a new or used trampoline, remember to always supervise children when they are bouncing and follow simple safety precautions like bouncing in bare feet only and starting with very small, soft bounces before building to bigger ones.
