One of a kind home made camera vs. Leica LX3

Lumix LX3 recorded video
Interested article in the New York Times about Miroslav Tichy, a Czech photographer, who took the pictures of girls and young women, in streets and public parks, during 60s and 70s used this very unique home made camera.
The New York Times' Rosenberg said: "You might call Mr. Tichy (pronounced TEE-kee) an outsider artist if it weren’t for the inconvenient fact that he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and was for a time a celebrated painter. His photographs may look naïve, but they’re the product of a carefully orchestrated series of missteps that begins with crude, homemade cameras.".

Why is LX3 so important?
Reading a previous article just triggered me to write couple words about my Lumix LX3. I'm using it since it came out, and I'm extremely happy with it. This is a true statement, since you can see many photos on my hubs are taken with my LX3.
I'm not an expert photographer, but I found a mode that I like, which with vibrant colors and warm temperature of photographs. When I started with it, I used the intelligent modem which is wonderful feature, then switched to P, where majority of options were pre-programmed, and lately I experiment with Manual mode. Again, for you who are professionals, this may be a joke, but I like the ability to gradually explore the camera, while still taking lot of photos.
Sometimes I feel like I'm missing the zoom that I used to have with DMZ3 (now, the latest version is DMZ 5 or 7, unless even something newer came out). I got used to be without that extra powerful zoom (23x optical with 3MP), and started focusing on fantastic possibilities of landscape photography. Portraits are still fine, but this time instead of zooming a person, I "zoom myself" closer.
If I understood it correctly, they compromised the processor in order to get better low light sensitivity, and for me this works perfectly fine. I bought several cameras in the past trying to take good photos of our children in low light ambient while they have their sport or other activities.
No other camera in the past worked for me without flash, and LX3 DOES!
Camera: DMC-LX3 f6.3, 1/1000, ISO 200, FL: 5.1mm
Camera: DMC-LX3 f8.0, 1/13, ISO 80, FL: 5.1mm
Camera: DMC-LX3 f3.2, 1/500, ISO 400, FL: 6.3mm
Someone asked me if the upgrade from LX3 to LX5 was worth it, and I have to say: YES, IT WAS...
Attached bellow couple photos with LX5.
